Choo Wai Hou, Chris

Founder and Managing Partner of Chris Choo & Thomas Law Chambers. He possesses an enduring passion for courtroom advocacy, a quality he believes is essential for being a skilled advocate. He specializes in criminal and civil litigation, alongside providing legal consultancy services to numerous local and international corporations. With a drive to excel, he aspires to become one of Malaysia's leading lawyers.

His expertise encompasses defending clients against a wide array of charges, including s.302 of the Penal Code (Murder), s.39b Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 (Drug trafficking), s.376 of the Penal Code (Rape), and AMLA violations, among others.

He is equally proficient in civil litigation, advocating for dispute resolution while demonstrating a readiness to litigate when necessary.

Teo Ying Rou

Ms Teo is a Senior Associate in Chris Choo & Thomas Law Chambers. She graduated with a LL.B (Hons) from Multimedia University (MMU). With expertise in drafting Sale and Purchase Agreements and extensive experience in sub-sale transactions for both landed and non-landed properties, as well as mixed developments, Ms Teo is dedicated to providing efficient and effective legal solutions across all aspects of property transactions.

She also actively advises purchasers of developers' projects and prepares the necessary documentation for financial loan applications with major banking institutions in Malaysia. With a can-do spirit, she expeditiously approaches each case, aiming to ensure a seamless transaction for her client.

Jason Looi

As a Legal Associate at Chris Choo & Thomas Law Chambers, he is committed to delivering strategic and practical legal solutions tailored to the needs of each client. He approaches every matter with a clear focus on resolving issues efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of London and a Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2023.

Since joining the firm, he has been actively engaged in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters. His experience includes drafting pleadings and submissions, managing procedural aspects of cases, attending court hearings and case managements, and assisting with trial preparation.

He places great value on integrity, responsiveness, and clarity in client communication, and is dedicated to upholding the firm’s commitment to excellence in legal service.
